Job Description

-Establish the baseline for system performance and detect deviation, suggesting and executing improvements to slow running queries -Configure database monitoring utilities to avoid false alarms -Fix database service outages when they happen, which can include after hours and weekends -Suggest solutions for database design, tuning options, and other potential issues -Ensure database server topology, configuration, and maintenance are designed and executed to meet SLA objectives -Maintain all database instances across development, staging, and production environments, handling installations and configurations as needed - MUST have experience with C++ -Maximize performance through effective suggestions for hardware purchases, server configuration changes, or index/query changes
