Job Description

•Main Objective: -Providing nursing care, treatment and follow-up of patients, according to doctors’ prescriptions, protocols applied in service and universal hygiene standards/precautions, in order to ensure the quality and continuity of care for the targeted population -Performing nursing care for patients such as rapid diagnostic tests and other nursing procedures following MSF protocols. -Performing VCT and screening tests (HIV, HBV, HCV and Syphilis). •Main Responsibilities: -Referral: Accompanying the referral patients to the health facilities for further investigation, consultation and/or admission directly organised by the deputy medical coordinator. Collecting medical documentation (results of investigation, summary files etc..) from the referral health facilities of MSF patients when required. -Management of medical supply and equipment: In collaboration with Pharmacy supervisor, performing physical inventory of the medical supplies and medical instruments/equipment on monthly basis, recording the consumption of medical supplies of clinic and report any shortage/damage to Pharmacy supervisor. -Hygiene: Knowing, promoting, implementing and following at all times the universal hygiene standards/ precautions, bio-hazard prevention and infection control, security rules and other protocols and procedures in the medical premises and ensure high standards of hygiene of his/her working environment Respecting the basic hygiene, disinfection and waste management protocols Cleaning, disinfect and prepare medical instruments after usage Packing the clean instruments and carry them for sterilization *Other: -Protocols: Hygiene / Blood exposure Wastes management Health care assistance -Communication and listening: Respiratory With patience, doctors and any members of the medical team
