Requirements

• Exposure to Linux and/or Windows server skills, with a desire to learn deeper Linux and Windows administration. • Exposure to TCP/IP and other basic networking. Desire to learn deeper networking skills. • Exposure to bash & Perl or other similar programming languages, and a desire to learn bash & Perl skills. • Positive attitude and high-energy approach to ITBSS support. Desire to learn, work, and grow in a team environment. • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a proactive attitude toward ensuring all stakeholders are aware of tools activities and changes. • After training, must have the ability to independently drive tasks to conclusion with minimal supervision and oversight. Required Skills • Shift work is required • Support 24x7x365 global network data center operations • Participate in the on-call rotation schedule for after-hours and weekend support • Ability to understand and work in a complex network with moderate supervision in a global team environment • Excellent customer service and English communications skills (written and oral) • Fluency in ticketing systems (eg.,otrs) and ITIL-like processes and procedures • Assist in the Change Management process as necessary, including participating in maintenance activities during off hours including weekends • Exposure to networking • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills. Desired Skills • Experience work with enterprise tools such as Zabbix, PRTG, SQL, ORACLE, OTRS and Microsoft System Center, etc. • Experience automating assigned tasks utilizing Python, PowerShell, bash or other scripting languages • IT Operations-related technical certification (A+, Net+, LPIC,MCSA, , CCNA, etc.) Minimum Education Required Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field. Major(s) in Computer Science or related field of study.
