Job Description

Mission ● Enable MTNIrancell to maximize the impact of its advertising campaigns through the use of a range of media. ● Combine creative thinking with factual analysis in order to ensure that campaigns reach their target audiences as effectively as possible. ● Apply knowledge of media and communication platforms to identify the most appropriate media for building awareness of the MTNIrancell brand. Roles and responsibilities: ● To identify target market and analyze its characteristics, behavior and media habits to ensure effective advertisement. ● To perform media planning and implementing of all elements of media plan that play a role in effective product launch, campaigns for existing products and services and for new promotion campaigns. ● To follow up to ensure implementation of media plans and provide reports and analysis ● To send out PR ( procurement request) to various media owners and agencies and send it to procurement to ensure price, quality and etc. ● To check media proposals and negotiate with media owners, evaluate proposed media and share comment with manager regarding the proposal. ● To communicate and follow up with media monitoring agencies for all media to ensure compliance with media planning and provide reports for stakeholders. ● To prepare communication and media plans and presentations based on the strategic plan and whole plan of each campaign ● To understand and actively seek media solutions (seek new media and most effective media) to support MTNIrancell at achieving specific marketing goals and objectives ● To optimize the efficiency of ATL media to make sure that the campaigns meet the target. ● To participate in weekly meetings with brand team and agency and provide insight into weekly media results of activities, actual plans, and predicted plan ● To coordinate with creative, trade, and digital marketing managers and other departments in daily media responsibilities. ● To ensure the creative team is running correctly the planned actions ● To recommend the most appropriate types of media to use, as well as the most effective timing and location. ● To liaise with media owners, such as OOH, media, and monitoring agencies to implement media plans. ● To cooperate with the brand team to understand campaigns business objectives and advertising strategy; ● To make sure the quality and costs of the services, the agency provides for the company meet targeted expectations. ● To monitor and analyze the competitor’s activities to get insight into better media planning. ● To compile media tender proposals, review them and provide technical evaluation documents. ● To monitor media agencies' activities and impose penalties on their invoices if the work is not done properly based on SLAs.

Requirements

Education: ● Bachelor's degree in Commerce (Marketing, Communications) or related fields; MBA is an advantage. Experience: ● At least 3 years of experience in an area of specialization, 1 year of media planning and negotiating experience. ● Experience working in a medium organization. Technical competencies: ● Marketing plan. ● Marketing campaign. ● Brand health tracking. ● Media management. ● Marketing communication (MarCom).
