Job Description

Forecast and Schedule and the right volumes of materials, goods and products inbound to the business from its supply chain companies. Requisition and maintain inventories of materials or supplies necessary to meet production as well as sales demands. Ensure material scheduling strategy and processes are in place and work effectively in order to ensure material supply meets production requirements with minimum stock levels, whilst optimizing costs Arrange for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to expedite flow of materials and meet forecast plan. Confer with vendors to resolve complaints or eliminate delays. Compile information, such as market demand, production rates and progress, materials inventories, materials used or customer information so that status reports can be completed. Contact suppliers to verify shipment details.

Requirements

Administration and Management — Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, and coordination of people and resources. Mathematics — Knowledge of mathematics, statistics and required applications. English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Time Management — Managing one's own time and the time of others. Monitoring — Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action. Coordination — Adjusting actions in relation to others' actions. Complex Problem Solving — Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Project management skills. Inventory control knowledge. Good working knowledge and experience of using Material Requirement Planning (MRP) system of similar. Academic field of study: BSc in industrial engineering or industrial management, MSc is a plus. Minimum 5 years related experience.
