Identify shipping agents and logistics support and cooperate as necessary to clear personnel, export, and import materials, load, apply, and comply with local laws and government permits.
Coach, guide and motivate a team of coordinators to ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards by company policies.
Meet with shipping agents and ensure the coordination team is always up to date with changing local laws.
Improve coordination practices to minimize disruption to transportation services.
Coordinate with project teams and operations/installation manager to ensure timely scheduling, personnel, and material movement.
Create SOPs and improve existing ones, with strict implementation tracking to strengthen systematic control.
Manage and supervise cargo movement inside and outside the country based on the policy and procedure of the organization and compliance with relevant domestic and international laws.
Ensure and check invoices and invoices of shipping agents in line with the agreement and with appropriate supporting documents.
Requirements:
Good understanding of the road and rail transport industry, in particular, international transport characteristics and related cost and revenue drivers.
Strong interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Good analytical skills.
Postgraduate degree in international trade or transport/logistics.
Proven track record in procurement management.
Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
