Job Description

The role mainly is responsible for supply chain management of import and export transactions to/from the destination/origin for all business segments, sourcing/executing container freight, LTL, parcels/air freight, 3rd party customs brokers/forwarders, and ensuring the requirements for customs compliance are leveraged and operating effectively. ● Plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services. ● Direct, optimize, and coordinate full order cycle. ● Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, and retailers. ● Comply with laws, regulations, and custom formality process. ● Manage pricing events, carrier contracting, operational execution, international import/export operations, and compliance. ● Effectively manage order status reports with a heightened focus and resolution for shipments that become late. ● Stay current with the domestic and international markets and provide quarterly updates that could be used to adjust strategy. ● Own harmonized code classifications, determinations for product valuations along with determinations for duty/taxes, and ensures all Origin supplied document templates are current and correct. ● Responsible for customs, shipping document creation, and problem resolution for all modes: container, air, and rail. ● Document processes and performs training for procurement, logistics, and order fulfillment. ● Source and manage freight for container and/or bulk shipments. ● Obtain capacity alternatives to meet business requirements and interacts closely with internal clients to ensure handoff to operations. ● Meet budget performance targets. ● Responsible for the day-to-day operations of planning, purchasing, shipping, or receiving the cargo. ● Responsible for delivering logistics KPI targets and results. ● Set clear responsibilities and expectations for supervisor and department lead to deliver results. ● Ensure work processes are in place to execute and continuously improve key logistics measures (ex on-time shipment, inventory accuracy, non-performing stock, etc.) ● Lead shipping and receiving resources to meet sales logistics objectives.
