Job Description

- Train all employees (new joiners and existing) on internal policies and Legal Processes. - Maintain and update all internal governing policies and procedures and ensure those policies/procedures are followed - Record and monitor conflicts of interest - Report and liaise with Area compliance team in all incidents involving a breach of BAT policies - End-to-end screening of suppliers and customers against policy and advising business and relevant stakeholders accordingly - Quarterly updates to management board on compliance issues - Preparation of required briefs for Disciplinary Committee and assisting Business Continuity Manager on investigation and investigation reports - Maintain an up-to-date database of all compliance reports, documents, screening results, policies, etc.

Requirements

- Minimum bachelor's degree from a reputable university in the field of Law (international education is a plus) - Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a multi-national environment within legal function (experience in internal auditing will be considered as advantage) - Experience in dealing with project compliance, international sanctions, and internal policies - In-depth knowledge of financial/transaction processes - Proficient in interpreting guidelines and legal documents - Understanding of business processes, business ethics - Fluency in English (written and spoken) - Proficiency in using Microsoft products (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook) - Very good communication skills - Ability to work under tough deadlines - Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
