Job Description

We invite applications for a full-time mid- to the senior-level associate position. Please carefully consider the description of the firm and our requirements before deciding to apply. The role involves the following: ● Working with leading foreign and domestic companies and their lawyers and other advisors to assess legal issues, provide advice, and develop solutions. ● Conducting legal research and analysis. ● Preparing written legal advice and memos for clients in English and Farsi. ● Preparing submissions in court or arbitration proceedings in English and Farsi. ● Drafting contracts and legal documents in English and Farsi. ● Reviewing, commenting on, and negotiating English language documents. ● Preparing updates and bulletins for clients in English. ● Translating legal material between English and Farsi.

Requirements

There are two sets of requirements for this role: some basic credentials and skills, plus some personal characteristics which relate to mentality and attitude. Basic credentials and skills: ● Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law with a strong academic record. ● At least two years of experience in domestic or foreign law firms or corporate legal departments. ● Preferably, a license from a bar association in Iran. ● Excellent English skills: able to draft legal memoranda, litigation papers, and contracts in English; communicate, advise and negotiate in English; and review and comment on English documents. ● Legal research and analysis skills. ● Clarity and precision in thinking and communication. ● Attention to detail. Personal characteristics: We seek people whose highest professional priority is to develop to be among the best lawyers in the market, and who have the humility to understand that this takes long-term effort and training. ● Ability to get things done. This means showing initiative, taking responsibility, figuring out answers, and delivering high-quality work products. ● Ability to handle multiple tasks at once, manage priorities, work under pressure and meet deadlines. ● Excellent work attitude.
