ROLE SUMMERY This position is a part-time consultancy, responsible for managing and leading continuous improvement projects and initiatives with high impact in the business by the implementation of Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S methodology and advanced manufacturing Solutions across the plant. Consultant will serve as subject matter expert in lean management methodologies to drive breakthrough results. JOB DESCRIPTION • Lead initiatives that integrate Lean manufacturing, throughout the facility, using continuous improvement (CI) tools such as; Kaizen events, 5S, Six-Sigma, OEE, mistake proofing, etc. to reduce waste, optimize capital assets and improving throughput. • Identify, remove, and minimize the impact of manufacturing opportunities through waste elimination, increased capacity, improved efficiency, improved logistics, and reduced complexity. • Develop a training and education plan, Communicate lessons learned and best practices from improvement projects. Mentoring and training junior consultants in lean tools and principles • Facilitating Kaizen events with cross-functional teams • Prepare monthly report for region manager; communicate with region lean consultant & technical managers for any decisions. Report progress, status and issues to region lean consultant & technical managers. • Analysis, design, implementation and improvement of processes using Continuous Improvement tools. • Prepare technical reports, case study documentation and training manuals. Ensure that a project plan is developed and agreed for each defined project. • Provide guidance to sustain improvement changes.
