Job Description

Objective of the role: Operations in setting operations targets and in charge with the overall quality & Safety standard of the Company by applying quality assurance & HSSE plans that will result in achieving customer satisfaction, continuous improvement in processes, reduced total costs and ensuring a safe system of work... List of responsibilities: - Conduct safety inspections and tours in all company premises identifying unsafe conditions and unsafe acts and advising on corrective measures. - Inspect all machinery and equipment and report any signs of defects to responsible departments. - Inspect all Firefighting equipment, Fire alarm systems & run fire pumps by test line. - Safety supervisor is responsible for ensuring that workers are properly trained about workplace hazards and control measures. - Ensure all new employees are given Safety induction training prior to commencement of their duties. - Ensure the company is in full compliance with national regulations governing Health and Safety. - Conduct fire drills and ensure all employees are familiar with emergency response procedures. - Responsible for communicating safety-related policies and procedures, as well as ensuring that they are followed. - Participate in the investigation of incidents to determine root cause, and advice on corrective actions where necessary. - Ensure that the appropriate personal protective equipment and clothing are available, worn when required, inspected and maintained. - Under take daily inspections using the approved checklists - Prepare risk assessment reports. - Ensure first aid boxes are fully stocked with required items and well displayed in visible locations/ - Arrange safety equipment for all departments upon their request. - Coordinate and control activities of contractors / subcontractors and ensure prior to undertaking a risky task, they are issued with Permit-to-work. - Perform any other duties as assigned by the Line Manager... Requirements

University Qualifications: Bachelor in Related fields. Nature and length of previous experience: 2-3 Years. Specialist knowledge • Cultural awareness / valuing diversity, teamwork and cooperation, results orientation, accountability, customer focus. • Skills – leadership, decision making, problem solving, negotiation, motivation, personnel development, organizational, time management, interpersonal, analytical, conflict management, risk management, computer, written and verbal communication in English. • Familiarity with the tools, concepts and methodologies of quality management; auditing skills as per ISO 9001:2008 standard; knowledge in HSSE related requirements. • Speaking English Fluency
