Job Description

The Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Manager oversees the company's HSE policies, programs and procedures. Key Accountabilities: - Implement HSE strategy and program of 'goal zero' accident culture for both employees and contractors - Leads aspects of the company's safety culture and demonstrates a commitment to an injury-free environment through individual actions and mentoring others - Supports and promotes safe practices and environmental commitments in alignment with company commitments, policies, and compliance requirements - Lead field based HSE employees who work on a rotation basis in support of site manager - Support field based HSE staff development in their continued HSE employee development - Makes regular sites visits and field inspections with the field based HSE staff to facilities and yard construction activities - Perform other routine HSE field inspections and attend monthly HSE meetings to make improvement recommendations, review operations, maintenance and construction safe work practices ensure HSE performance targets are met - Works with the HSE Analyst and HSE Investigation Team to prepare statistical and investigative reports and other safety and health related correspondence for the respective HSE committees - Support HSE process knowledge and relationships with key engineering and technical maintenance leaders - Establish a working relationship with the training department to provide continuous improvement in HSE training and guidance on closing knowledge gaps related to HSE requirements - Manages delivery of training for personnel in areas of safety, including first aid, CPR, accident prevention and investigation, work place inspections and other matters related to implementing HSE procedures - Monitor daily field activities for compliance with company policies and all applicable regulatory requirements; for example, OSHA and various drilling requirements - Develop, perform and manage the field HSE audit process (scheduled and/or as needed) including responsibility to manage the recordkeeping of HSE audits - Develop and build relationships with our client's HSE Managers - Ability to identify and correct HSE deficiencies and gaps - Cooperatively works with Client and Industry Health, Occupational Safety and Environmental organizations in areas of mutual interest for Safety - Implements core aspects of the accident investigation, data analysis, and recurrence prevention programs and procedures - Participate in oversight and leadership of the company's Management of Change process and its implementation, including coordinating technical and regulatory analysis of proposed changes

Requirements

Education: - Bachelor's degree, preferably in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent HSE management or discipline. Certifications in HSE programs and controlling workplace hazards Experience: - 5 plus years of experience in HSE management Knowledge & Skills: -Experience with different techniques of risk assessment and operational control -Proficient in Microsoft applications, with strong proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint -Strong working knowledge of applicable country and local safety regulations -Must stay abreast of changes to safety and health codes and standards -Bilingual preferred but not essential (Persian and English) -Practical, hands-on experience with the following: Contractor Safety Processes, Safe Work Practices including Permit to Work, Lockout / Tag out, Confined Space, Fall Protection, Risk assessment JSA's / JHA's, Root cause analysis -Experience with incident investigation (Investigation start to finish, how it should be handled.
