Job Description

Objective of the role: Work closely with the Manufacturing & Supply Chain Manager to achieve the Production Division targets and ensure that the efficient production of goods and services are of right quantity, quality, and cost. List of responsibilities: Planning: - Generate Production Schedules and Manufacturing Orders, forecasting inventory requirements, optimizing inventory levels as well as helping the organization evaluate and implement an inventory management system. - Work closely with Marketing, Purchasing, Operations and Finance Teams to plan and monitor inventory levels and production lead times. - Collaborate with Sales team in analyzing the sales forecast, by completing the assets, raw materials, manpower requirements, customer demands, and following up on the actual production results. - Work closely with related Department Managers with the design or new product introduction, alternative raw materials, equipment requirements, test /inspection plans, and product specification requirements. - Coordinate with Procurement & Warehouse Divisions related to materials for stock availability, ensure that the ordered raw materials and packaging components are delivered on time to monitor an accurate inventory of items produced. - Plan, create, control and monitor production schedules and job order priorities to meet production targets. - Schedule and direct Production Planning Meetings and track production performance to schedule. - Develop and maintain Bills of Material for all production processes. - Estimate costs, setting the quality standards and ensure that the production is cost effective. - Develop long term and short term plans for increasing production capacity and decreasing costs. - Responsible for preparation of accounting reports for the end of month (inventory, shipment, raw materials, and waste) - Lead work planning process and sequencing, including ensuring adequate staffing and resources. - Create new initiatives that boost product quality, reduce waste, and increase profit. - Advise management about taking on new business and capacity planning. - Share information about future production changes with the planning engineer and follow strict safety rules. - Collaborate across departments and analyze metrics to assess progress towards goals. - Understand business strategy and contribute to the execution in everyday business plans. - Establish SOP’s to maintain operational Bills of materials and Routings - key to drive business performance and productivity. Production: - Set departmental objectives and communicate to the Production Staff to ensure that targets are achieved through implementation and compliance. - Organize all production operations to ensure that output and targets are achieved such as quantity, quality, yield, wastage, costs. - Develop all necessary policies and procedures to ensure that production lines are effectively maintained to ensure maximum production output, in coordination with other related departments in creating a better workflow that uses company resources more effectively. - Collaborate with Sales, Logistics & Finished Goods Warehouse Divisions to ensure the successful production and shipping of customer orders. - Guide and monitor all Production Staff and Labors to ensure that they carry out their responsibilities in accordance to the required Quality Management Systems standards, Risk Management Standards, company policies and procedures, as well as health and safety standards. - Determine and monitor the overall resource capacity (manpower and equipment) for factory and set priorities to maintain production expectations. - Supervise all aspects for the production process, prepare progress reports, analyze data, make recommendations for improving production operations and solve production related problems as needed. - Monitor productivity performance and maintain metrics to demonstrate; lead time, schedule performance and capacity utilization. - In charge of developing effective strategies to increase production efficiency and output. - Supervise the daily activities in the Production Division & approving all active documents. - Promote a safe working environment by ensuring a full and consistent compliance of all Production Staff in the Company’s safety and security policies, procedures and statutory requirements. - Recruit, select, orient, train, assign, schedule, and discipline Production Staff. - Review the overall performance and identify training needs of Production Staff. - Ensure all operational key performance indicators are consistently delivered in such a way as to maximize the value across the organization. . Reporting to: Manufacturing & Supply Chain Manager. Length of Probation Period: 3 Months.

Requirements

- University Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field from reputable universities. - Nature and length of previous experience: 8-10 Years of relevant experience with reputed manufacturing/FMCG companies in Iran. Tobacco industry experience will be a plus.. - Specialist knowledge: Knowledge on the principles and applications associated with production operation and processes, engineering, health & safety and quality management. - Soft Skills and Personality traits: supervisory, organizational, interpersonal, team building and motivation, analytical and problem solving, time management, computer, written and verbal communication in English.
