Job Description

An operations manager is a senior role which involves overseeing the production of goods and/or provision of services. It’s an operations manager's job to make sure an organization is running as well as it possibly can, with a smooth efficient service that meets the expectations and needs of customers and clients .An operations manager has a broad role; Responsibilities: Financial – Review financial data and financial statements. Improve profitability by fully utilizing the available financial data. Control and prepare operational budgets. Plan and oversee the development and implementation to safeguard the financial wellbeing of the company. Control inventory. Strategic input – Work with upper management and assist in developing strategic plans to provide operational activity for the company. Design, implement, and manage said operational plans. Sales, marketing and customer service – Support marketing activities, support sales, manage customer support. Production – Coordinate and monitor the work of the different departments that are involved in the production, the warehousing, the pricing, and the distribution of the produced goods. Implement improvements and monitor performance. Safeguard and improve employee productivity by managing quality and quantity. Provide technical support where necessary. Manage the maintenance of machinery and equipment. Communication – Manage, monitor, and improve the communication efficiency of support services such as finance, accounts, and HR. Help facilitate coordination and communication between the different support functions. Human resources – Plan and optimize the use of human resources. Organize the placement and recruitment of necessary staff members. Monitor and evaluate performance, provide supervision to staff, establish work schedules, delegate tasks and accountabilities, and establish organizational structures. Best practices – Monitor adherence to rules, regulations, and procedures. Help maximize output by formulating and implementing departmental and organizational policies and procedures. Improve processes and policies in support of organizational goals. monitoring and analyzing the current system of production or provision to check it’s effective. working out a strategy for improving if necessary. By managing day-to-day activities, analyzing statistics and reading and writing reports. have to do a lot of liaising with other team members, including interacting with managers of different areas of the organization, presenting findings to stakeholders and higher management as well as training and supervising new employees and tracking and measuring staff performance. Planning and controlling change. Managing quality assurance programs. Researching new technologies and alternative methods of efficiency. Setting and reviewing budgets and managing cost. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in statistics, operations management, business management or equivalent 5-7 years previous operations management experience, including forecasting, scheduling and real-time operations management. Experience in a production or Service provider environment. Experience supervising, coaching and developing staff. Adequate knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management. Budget development and oversight experience Familiarity with business and financial principles and practices Working knowledge of budgets, forecasting and metrics Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization Leadership and organizational skill.
