Job Description

As a financial manager in a food processing or manufacturing company being responsible for providing financial and analytical support, and using insight to assist the sales and profitability of employer and ensuring that important decision-making around financial issues is effective and based on sound knowledge Monitoring company financial performance and make sure that all financial data is both accurate and timely and as well as keeping up with industry and market trends in order to assist senior management with strategic business planning processes to ensure that businesses are financially successful. This might involve advising on investments, savings, pensions or insurance products RESPONSIBILITIES: • The production of long-term business plans and their presentation to senior management. • The management of budgets • Controlling income, cash flow and expenditure • Researching company’s competitors and the food manufacturing sector in general • Developing suitable financial models for company that improve processes and maximize profitability • Undertaking financial risk-assessments and assisting with strategic planning • Collating, preparing and interpreting reports, budgets, accounts, commentaries and financial statements • Tracking performance to identify trends and taking appropriate action • Liaising with other managerial staff and other colleagues • Leading a team of financial specialists

Requirements

• Have a strong background of proven financial expertise • University degree in accountancy, statistics, economics, mathematics, management or business subjects • A relevant postgraduate qualification and/or previous work experience gained in any commercial area can be useful • Be able to interpret extremely detailed figures and present them to non-financial experts • Be able to work in a challenging environment and confident and influential when making the case for a particular strategy • Working in a food manufacturing environment will entail significant commercial experience and knowledge of the sector issues and trends likely to impact upon company in the future • Good command of English both speaking and writing/ German is advantage
