Job Description

The Excel/VBA Analyst will support the market intelligence / reporting / analytics capabilities of the department through developing and maintaining Excel/VBA-based solutions. The role will provide advanced technical skills in the design, building, and maintenance of solutions. The role will also provide efficiency improvements to routine data-centric workflows by introducing programmatic process automation. Job Responsibilities: • Understand, evaluate, and document business requirements. • Translate business requirements into specific solutions. • Develop robust spreadsheet models with clearly defined inputs, calculations, and final output. • Provide documentation including data flow mapping for new and existing spreadsheet models. • Author SQL queries to extract data from corporate sources for actuarial analysis & reporting. • Develop automated and reusable routines for extracting information from various data sources. • Utilize VBA in new and existing Excel-based tools to automate recurring work processes. • Integrate capability in Excel-based tools to both pull and push data from/to SQL Server. • Create data visualizations that communicate information effectively.

Requirements

• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree required • Proven experience (2-5 years) with working with quantitative data and reporting • Excellent knowledge of MS-Office especially Excel • High proficiency in VBA (macro), Power Query and Power Pivot (Familiarity with VBA coding, M language and DAX is a must) • Experienced in excel dashboard building comprising of complex relations among different data types • Ability to multi-task and be proactive and independent in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with analytical skills • Strong writing, presentation and communication skills • Good Command of English is needed • Ideal Age Range: 25 – 35
