Job Description

● Manage design and implementation of EPC on network function virtualization and cloud architecture to support the business objectives of MTNIrancell. ● Manage core elements of the LTE, VoLTE EPC, and 5G NSA networks from a planning perspective. ● Design and delivery of new data services to MTNIrancell customers. ● Ensure the core network provides capacity and functionality in line with a business plan and traffic growth. ● Manage installed capacity over IPBB, internet bandwidth and any other interconnect interface and highlight shortages. ● Evaluate EPC core KPI and manage to achieve related core network key performance indicators and quality that has a direct relation to customer loyalty and qualitative perception of MTNIrancell network. ● Provide support to senior management and other teams in introducing new products and services in cooperation with marketing. ● Provide support in the integration of the EPC network elements into other network elements such as TDD and FDD Radio access network, IPBB, GiLAN, CS and IMS Core, CG, DNS, OCS, PCRF, PCEF, EMM, provisioning, billing, etc. ● Work collaboratively with the PS manager as some of the equipment is shared between the technologies. ● Follow up with vendor for the feature set activations as per network needs ● Plan and service delivery of TOR, EOR, and CE routers for CloudEdge and cloud core networking. ● Vendor and group engagements to align strategy for evolution from EPC to 5G NSA and 5G SA, cloud-native, and service-based architecture. ● NFV orchestration and SDN design and deployment. ● Core network re-design and modernization towards containerized and Microservice architecture. ● Solution design to deploy 2G/3C/4G/5G NSA and SA convergence in one core. ● Network design and architecture finalization for MEC and E2E network slicing. ● Deploy mobile automation engine- core network for the autonomous driving network. ● Interfacinge with regulator relating to MBB core affecting issues such as numbering plan and allocation of point codes. ● National and international roaming development for data services. ● Work on 5G technology and focus on newly available features during service launch.
