Job Description

Employee Relations Expert performs a variety of duties to promote employee welfare, such as resolving human relations problems and promoting employee health and well-being. She/He interviews workers and discuss personnel, human relations, and work-related problems that adversely affect morale, health, and productivity. This person also evaluates and resolves human relations, labor relations, and work-related problems, and meets with management to determine appropriate action. An Employee Relations Expert explains and provides advice to workers about company and governmental rules, regulations, and procedures, and need for compliance. Additionally, an Employee Relations Expert may have the following duties: • Counsels employees regarding work, family, or personal problems. Manages Employee Relations including mitigating and resolving employee issues, conflict resolution, corrective action, and policy interpretation for assigned business areas. • Provides HR Business Partner and leaders reporting data that provides high level review of number of cases and type of cases on a quarterly and yearly basis. Analyze trends and assist in solve/development of action plans. • Explains company compensation and benefit programs, such as medical, insurance, retirement, and savings plans, and enrolls workers in specified programs. • Arranges for employee library, lunchroom, recreational facilities, internal events, cycle meetings, team buildings and activities. • Develops, schedules, and conducts technical, management, interpersonal and soft-skills training to improve employee performance. • Communicates any change or announcement by preparing emails, newsletters, magazines and other reports to communicate information about employee concerns, news and comments and organizational actions taken. • Attends conferences and meetings, as employee-management liaison, to facilitate communication between parties. • Facilitates on-boarding of key positions and shares the company values, strategies and culture with new joiners. • Holds Stay Interviews with key positions and best performers. • Audits benefit accounts and examines records to ensure compliance with standards and regulations. • Deliver positive employee relations presentations to leaders and Employees on a variety of topics including new policies, performance management, procedures, trends and opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to effectively identify, analyze, and resolve complex situations in conjunction with business leaders and the HRBP. • Demonstrated creative problem solving and a high level of discernment and confidentiality. • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills. • Leadership abilities including negotiation and conflict resolution. • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills. • Competence with Microsoft Office suite and knowledge of HRIS systems and reporting. Data oriented and analytic. • Minimum of three years Human Resources experience with emphasis on interpersonal relationship building, employee relations and problem solving. First-hand experience of supporting organizational changes. • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required. • PHR certification is a plus.
