Job Description

● To interface across the company with ITS, Marketing, Finance, Sales and Distribution, Digital, EB, L&R, CR, PROC, and CPG divisions to ensure that developments in the Network area are integrated with other business unit plans. ● To maintain an understanding of other (non-GSM) technologies to ensure that appropriate strategies are implemented timeously. ● To formulate strategies for future technologies and regulatory developments within the Packet Core network, CS/IMS Core network, IP network (IPBB and IPDCN), Gi LAN, and Enterprise network. ● To lead a team of technical experts and Senior Managers to align Core network, IP network (IPBB and IPDCN), Gi LAN, and Enterprise with network Service Delivery and Operations requirements. ● To envisage, specify or evaluate proposals for new software tools and techniques to improve network design and management. ● To prepare Capex Budget motivation in line with business pan and technology evolutions. ● To aid Procurement for the contract and price negotiations with vendors and suppliers. ● To lead breakthrough research on new emerging technologies of core network e.g 5G, NFV, Cloud Native, MEC, Slicing, etc. to embed new features into the current network. ● To formulate long-term strategies for future technologies developments within the IP and GiLAN. network e.g SDN, Segment routing, etc. to enable automation and intelligence for IP networks. ● To drive IPDCN planning to design and deploy the Cloudfabric DCN solution architecture for the data center network. ● To verify the overall Architecture design of the Core network and related elements as a principal network advisor. ● To ensure that the core network consistently delivers on customer expectations regarding network quality, coverage and capacity. ● To maintain a moving 5-year core network strategy ensuring a fully integrated Network plan for future MTNIrancell network expansion. ● To manage capacity planning for MTNIrancell core network ensuring sufficient capacity ahead of requirements. ● To make harmonization between planning and optimization and to enhance further qualitative outcomes from the planning department. ● To manage the optimization of entire core and IP network domain in order to enhance network key performance and quality indicators that have direct relation to customer loyalty and qualitative perception of the MTNI network. ● To manage related tenders and contracts within a multi-vendor environment. ● To review the performance of core network vendors and ensure that vendor builds to plan and SLAs. ● To ensure core Network utilization in order to remain within acceptable limits. ● To own the accountability for risk management of all core and IP network elements and ensure all identified risks and related business continuity plans are in place to avoid any outage. ● To prepare and manage the annual CAPEX and OPEX budget within the area of concern.

Requirements

● Bachelor's degree in Technology Systems (Telecommunication Management, and Information Technology) or related fields. ● Master's degree or MBA is advantageous. ● Senior management track record of 5 years or more; with at least 3 years in relevant sector/ industry as per the relevant roles. ● Demonstrated history in large global/multinational telco organizations (understanding emerging markets advantageous). ● Proven ability in network planning, budget management, and setting the strategic direction for technology evolution. ● Senior leadership experience across the multi-domains of mobile network areas of planning and design, operations and maintenance, optimization, rollout, and project implementation. ● Proven track record of network planning and delivery preferably in Mobile Core and IP network. ● Demonstrated success in completing technical projects and directing multifaceted teams to solve complex project issues. ● Proven ability in conceptualizing innovative Core and IP Network solutions aimed at strengthening/optimizing system infrastructure and processes, while leading high-performing teams. ● Collaborative communicator focused on building relationships and synergy across business lines to drive positive change. ● Worked across diverse cultures and geographies.
