Job Description

List of responsibilities: ALL OPERATIONS PERTAINING TO IMPORT PROCESS INCLUDING SOURCING, ORDER REGISTRATION, IMPORT PERMITS, SHIPMENT LOGISTICS, MONEY TRANSFER, AND CUSTOMS FORMALITIES. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Research potential vendors Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing Track orders and ensure timely delivery Review quality of purchased products Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage Attend trade shows and exhibitions to stay up-to-date with industry trends Reporting to: COMMERCIAL MANAGER. Length of Probation Period: 1 Month. Working hours: 8:30 TO 16:30 - THURSDAYS: 8:30 TO 12:00 Travel requirements: SOMETIMES Gross Monthly Base Salary: NEGOTIABLE.

Requirements

Work experience: The candidate should have had the required work experience at least during the past two years. Must have mastery over all import processes. Proven work experience as a Purchasing Officer, Purchasing Agent or similar role Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors) Good knowledge of all requirements of import. Understanding of supply chain procedures Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses Negotiation skills BSc in Logistics, Business Administration or relevant field
