POSITION SNAPSHOT Location: Qazvin/Iran. Company: Nestlé | Full-Time. POSITION SUMMARY The project civil engineer is responsible for buildings and civil infrastructure of the project are kept in good condition, meet hygienic standards, and are capable of safely containing machinery, and people to ensure their comfort and ensure that they consistently fit the purpose for which they were intended. To support Projects for the construction of the relevant building and related infrastructures such as roads, and sewerage systems. A DAY IN THE LIFE … ● Responsible for acting as the main technical adviser on construction activity for the factory project manager. ● Liaise with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws and to obtain required and relevant permits. ● Ensure that there exists within the civil team an attitude of absolute intolerance for unsafe situations and change management procedure is followed for construction activities. ● Check civil plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy of construction and structural calculations and specify the right construction material, and ensure that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications. ● Oversee the selection and requisition of materials and construction works and develop cost-effective solutions and proposals for the intended projects. ● Liaise with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the general workforce involved in construction projects and communicate with consultants, engineers, and surveyors, including attending regular project site meetings to keep them informed of the progress of construction activities and making alignment. ● Coordinate the project on cost, time, and quality aspects.
