Job Description

- Incorporate understanding of the corporate client’s needs, opportunities and constraints into the design - Evaluate feasibility of design ideas, based on factors such as appearance, function, serviceability, budget and market - Use samples, displays and design software to create kitchen cabinet products. - Apply sustainable design principles into designs - Assist with investigating, selecting, and specifying kitchen systems and materials; - Meet with management team to refine design and obtain approvals; - Prepare design development documents using appropriate software program - Ensure conformance to all relevant building requirements and municipality building - Assist sales and customer service staff on technical aspects of design - Assist in initial quality control review of production documents; - Maintain design records and support the review and certification of contractors - Perform necessary modification of drawings and specifications as production projects progress and changes in dimensions, materials, and other aspects of design arise from client - Conduct on-site observations for conformance with drawings and specifications
