Job Description

• Determines customers' needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information • Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes • Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products • Provides information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses; answering questions and request • Determines product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; anticipating volume; costing special and customized order • Responsible for overall profitability ratios for assigned business unit • Creates sales projections and sets objectives for assigned business unit products • Coordinates Product management with Field Sales organization, Research and Development, Engineering, and Marketing • Develops and executes full strategic sales and marketing plans and programs for assigned business unit products • Drives sales effort for assigned business unit products • Responsible for increasing and tracking company market share • Must have “team” approach and work as a “teammate” with Field Sales and the other Company Units and departments • Responsible for advancing Company Customer Service Reputation with external & internal Customer base • Constructs and administers budget for assigned business unit

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or other related fields. • 5+ years of experience in product and category management • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong problem solving skills and willingness to think outside the box • Outstanding project and time management skills • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
