Job Description

We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to help us expand our work. You will be the front of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective strategy. Responsibilities • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients • Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives • Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc. • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers • Develop entry level staff into valuable salespeople • Analyze current and past financial data, such as sales reports, and provide strategies to cut costs and increase revenue • Perform market research to identify new opportunities and engage with executives to establish strategies for pursuing those new opportunities • Create and improve proposals for our existing and new clients • Prepare the company budget and continually track expenses, as well as make sure we're on track to hit revenue targets • Provide training and mentoring to members of the business development team • Develop and deliver pitches for potential investors • Network with investors and other business partners to generate new leads • Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets • Seek out the appropriate contact in an organization • Generate leads and cold call prospective customers • Meet with customers/clients face to face or over the phone • Foster and develop relationships with customers/clients • Understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these • Think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business • Work strategically - carrying out necessary planning in order to implement operational changes • Draw up client contracts - depending on the size of company, this task may be completed by someone else or agreements may not be as formal • Have a good understanding of the businesses' products or services and be able to advise others about them • Ensure staff are on board throughout the organization, and understand the need for change and what is required of them • Train members of your team, arranging external training where appropriate • Discuss promotional strategy and activities with the marketing department • Liaise with the finance team, warehousing and logistics departments as appropriate • Seek ways of improving the way the business operates • Attend seminars, conferences and events where appropriate • Keep abreast of trends and changes in the business world.

Requirements

•Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role •Proven sales track record •Experience in customer support is a plus •Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce) •Proficiency in English •Market knowledge •Communication and negotiation skills •Ability to build rapport •Time management and planning skills •BSc/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field •5+ years’ experience working in a development role •Previous role in a leadership position •interpersonal skills •Solid written and verbal communication skills •Strong leadership skills •A familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite
