The position: As an accounting manager, your responsibilities will be beyond executional functions. You will be responsible for process improvement, development, implementation of the accounting strategy, and maintaining good relations with key external advisors. ● Leads NN Iran Finance team composed of accounting in accordance with Novo Nordisk policies. ● Make sure all local accounting and finance procedures and reports are in compliance with local legislation and Novo Nordisk SOPs. ● Ensure each employee in the finance department has clear responsibilities with segregation of duties is maintained. ● Ensure that the finance team is proactive, solution-driven, and customer-oriented. ● Group and local statutory reporting responsibility for Iran. ● Ensure strong relationships with group internal auditors and external auditors and promote an audit-ready mindset. ● Develop and implement effective internal control systems and procedures that safeguard the company’s assets and ensure timely accurate reporting. ● Ensure all necessary and relevant SOPs are in place within the finance area to secure sustainable and efficient knowledge sharing. ● Participate in cross-functional projects, steering committees, and task forces where financial expertise is required. ● Organize year-end closing and submit an annual questionnaire. ● Partner with the tax manager to ensure compliance with local tax and SSO rules. ● Develop clear roles and responsibilities between commercial and production finance teams. Requirements

● Bachelor's degree in Economics or Finance; a Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent with a focus on (international) accounting and tax legislation. ● At least 10 to 15 years of relevant work experience in accounting. ● Previous employment in big 4 accounting firms, international positions, international tax, general taxation, and the pharma industry is a big advantage. ● Strong knowledge of local rules and regulations in corporate and tax and accounting areas. ● Independent, responsible and conscientious, with a high degree of integrity, tenacity, and ability to judge. ● Advanced English and Farsi verbal and written communication skills. ● IT literate including professional data discipline. ● Confident to work in close cooperation with high-level executives and people of different cultural backgrounds.
