● Carry out systematic inspection of animals, carcasses at abattoir according to documented work instructions.
● Detain suspect animals or carcasses and refer to the Senior Meat Inspector and Senior Veterinary Officer for a decision.
● Record weight, identification, sex of all carcasses and provide detailed information to Senior Meat Inspector.
● Assist with the inspection of all approved meat establishments.
● Maintain up-to-date paper records of all meat inspection activities and file all documents appropriately.
● Assist with updating all information on the meat inspection database.
