Job Description

The objective of the role: The Finance [Tax & Accounting] Business Partner - in our organization called Finance Ecosystem Excellence Partner [EEP] - will leverage his/her broad expertise on the E2E Finance operations to create business value through the simplification, automation, and centralization of our processes and systems. This role will collaborate closely with internal partners and external stakeholders in the ecosystem and above country network, gaining a deep understanding of their needs to transform the customer experience through tailored, streamlined, and seamless financial processes and services. Main responsibilities: ● Be the point of contact for tax and accounting as well as for audit and compliance-related matters (e.g. Internal, SSO, Tax). ● Drive simplification, automation/digitalization, and centralization of financial and accounting processes. ● Responsible for multiple tax and accounting activities, for instance, but not limited to: o Prepare and submit VAT and CIT declarations and seasonal reports. o Translate and transfer data from SAP to local systems, reconciliation systems, and writing legal books. o Attending in the tax and SSO commissions and corporation with consultants to prepare documents and defiance letters. o Prepare financial statements and support the preparation of independent audit reports. o Accountable for Internal Control Financial Reporting (ICFR), group policies and guidelines, and local statutory and legal requirements within agreed service timelines. o Lead finance month and year-end closing and reporting activities. o Own asset inventory activities/controlling. o Perform cross-charges and netting between Roche group affiliates. o Accounting clearing and reconciliations (GLs, Vendors, etc). o Manual postings, prepaid, accruals, payroll postings and control the accuracy of accounts. ● Prepare various financial reports and analyses to support business decision-making; whenever needed. ● Take part in lead finance and business operations projects.

Requirements

You bring the following qualifications, skills and capabilities: ● At least 7 years of working experience in finance, audit, or tax. Any additional experience in areas of procurement or supply chain is a plus. ● Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Business; MBA is a plus. ● Deep knowledge of local tax and SSO laws and regulations. ● Proficient in English to collaborate internally and across the broader Roche enterprise. ● Strong technical competencies in SAP S4 HANA FI/CO, Material Ledger, MM, PP. Hamkaran System. ● Proven experience working in a BPM organization, any methodological skills such as, agile ways of working (Scrum) is a plus. ● Proactive in taking ownership, ability to connect the dots, predict risks and leverage the network to innovate. ● Personal purpose and a strong passion for operational excellence that creates value and impact to the patients and the ecosystem. ● Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, listening and system thinking skills. ● Enterprise thinking where you can collaborate beyond boundaries and borders, in order to bring the best possible outcomes to both the local health environment, and more broadly, across the global organization.
