Job Description
● Monitor, control, and follow up problems related to Internet links, IXP, and all upstream communication links with relevant providers (24/7/365).
● Implement, monitor, and follow closely the change procedures.
● Track the projects, tickets, phone calls, and problems related to the backbone service according to the procedures and standards of determination.
● Check the quality of all links for definitive avoidance.
● Check network security and stability, analyze problems and implement appropriate solutions in accordance with current procedures.
● Monitor and track the problems of links between pop sites (wireless, microwave, VPLS, etc.) and check the status of traffic between pop sites.
● Document how to follow different problems and procedures.
● Check and maintain problem logs and refer them to the department manager in a timely manner.
● Document and update instructions and reports for other sections.
● Educate newcomers.
● Update monitoring systems.
● Prepare and update core network topology.
● Request equipment to upgrade core links and test their performance.
