● Manage network security and proactively oversee the activities involved in the quality resolution of complex technical issues, responding with an appropriate sense of urgency to problems escalated.
● Oversee analysis of company requirements, evaluating if network configuration and expansion are possible with existing resources.
● Develop and implement resilient network backup and recovery to maintain a reliable network.
● Develop detailed implementation plans to accommodate network growth, security, and enhancements by maximizing the functionality of Cisco equipment.
● Regularly monitor all network devices to provide rapid issue resolution and provide reporting metrics as needed.
● Analyze data traffic patterns within the network infrastructure, detecting operational problems and recommending improvements to ensure optimal performance.
● Lead in technical research and development to enable innovation with the infrastructure.
● Provide recommendations of the most cost-effective solution to management, including all cost, procedural and contractual considerations necessary to make decisions.
● Provide network security by configuring Cisco routers, Cisco switches, Cisco and FortiGate firewalls, etc. according to security standards.
● Monitor security measures within the network perimeter, ensuring security breaches do not occur and information is safeguarded from unauthorized users.
Requirements
● Bachelor's degree in IT.
● Cisco Certifications CCNP (or equivalent work experience).
● At least 3 years of related experience working with Cisco networking equipment deployed in enterprise environments.
● High-Level ability and use of routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF) route convergence and AS number usage.
● Experience supporting a wide array of networking operating systems and devices (HP, Cisco MikroTik, FortiGate, Forti Web, etc.)
● Proficient in MS Office and Visio.
● Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
