Job Description

Mechanical Engineer (Static Equipment): Mechanical Engineer’s (Static Equipment) roles and responsibilities are to prepare the design and engineering of the relevant equipment in line with client requirements, meeting all the relevant and applicable international, national codes, standards, and local statutory and regulatory requirements. The duties include but are not limited to the following: ● Perform contract study. ● Review owner's specifications. ● Prepare design verification report (if required). ● Prepare equipment mechanical data sheets, material requisition, and bid evaluation report. ● Review with a random check of thermal rating for Shell and Tube heat exchangers or air coolers. ● Review and check vendor documents. ● Review and check other discipline documents. ● Perform coordination with owner, licensor, and vendor. ● ITB review. ● Technical clarification and deviation on ITB. ● Engineering manhour estimation. ● Review with a random check of equipment cost estimation. ● Review with a random check of change order with vendor or client. ● Design optimization and value engineering. ● Sub-con evaluation and selection. ● Sub-con control and management.

Requirements

● Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. ● Full conversant with relevant international codes and standards such as ASME, TEMA, API and other local regulations (IPS, NIOEC Spec., etc.). ● Full conversant with design practices of mechanical static equipment in the Oil and Gas and Petroleum industries. ● Good written and verbal communication skills in English. ● At least 4 years of experience in the design and engineering of mechanical static equipment (PV, Heat Exchanger, Storage Tanks, etc.) in the Oil and Gas sections. ● Experience in preparing proposals and ITB.
