Job Description

● Define technical solutions for Backhaul, and Backbone IP transport networks considering the quality KPIs. ● Develop in compliance with other sections and the operator planning Department an optimal yearly plan for IP transmission network development plan following the operator engineering guidelines. ● In-depth expert-level knowledge of IP routing protocols (OSPF/ISIS/BGP). ● Analyze the inputs provided by the RAN planning section. ● Ensure a proper understanding of the operator's requirements. ● Review with the operator planning department the feasibility of rollout of IP transport project and agree with viable RFS dates (Ready for Service). ● Establish necessary system capacities at required RFS dates, accounting for capacity margins as defined by the operator IP engineering Guidelines. ● Lead technical specifications for RFQs including the list of materials (Request for Quotation). ● Liaise with the program manager for project resources planning and implementations. ● Liaise with the program manager to initiate the risk management plan and change management. ● Ensure the integration of solution design with other IT domains. ● Follow the integration of the new element in the live network. ● Ensure the solution verification meets the customer requirements. ● Timely review with the operator planning department of the implementation solution. ● In-time implementation and configuration of the IP core, Backbone, Backhaul transport networks nodes, and points-of-presence (POP) in line with the design principles and business requirements. ● Strong focus on maintaining up-to-date documentation (drawings, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides). ● Perform Second line support for the related Network element (Transmission, core, DATA CENTER SWITCH, IP ROUTER, FIREWALLING, WAN LINKS, etc.). ● Provide remote support to all FO teams if required. ● 2nd line support shall be scheduled for 24/7 standby according to duty rota with fallback positions. ● Address specific performance issues where identified and handed over for investigation and resolution by a Performance Analyst (high-level end-to-end performance analysis). ● Assure in compliance with MS contract and identify any adverse trends in Transmission network performance before it results in actual service degradation. ● Verify through continuous operational capacity planning in compliance with the required capacity margins as defined by the operator transmission engineering guidelines. ● Identify network weak spots. ● Perform flow analysis. ● Prepare actions plans where deviation from MS contract KPIs has been detected from IP. ● Produce work orders or change requests for any activities requested for the optimization.

Requirements

● Theoretical and practical knowledge of IP systems networks. ● Excellent analytical, engineering, and basic project management skills. ● Experience in network integration, system upgrades, expansions, and health checks of the network. ● Supplier-specific hardware knowledge. ● Rigor and organization. ● Teamwork spirit. ● Working under pressure. ● Anticipation and adaptation. ● Creativity and innovation. ● Minimum of 5 years of working experience in relevant technical fields such as planning and/or optimization in IP/MPLS Network. ● Bachelor's or Master's degree in related fields such as IT, etc. ● Intermediate English. ● Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, etc.). ● Ability to work off hours depending on Network outages and customer requests. ● Able to travel and missions across the country.
