POSITION SNAPSHOT Location: Tehran/Iran. Company: Nestlé. Position: Full-time. Report to: Import Supervisor. ** Please kindly be informed that this position is temporary for 1 year duration ** POSITION SUMMARY They are responsible for the flow of goods into the country. Ensures all import and clearance permissions are obtained on time and paperwork and monetary transactions are completed accurately, in a timely manner, and in a compliant way. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures through knowledge of the functional areas under the supervision of the import supervisor. A DAY IN THE LIFE … ● Execute all the steps for clearance of raw/packaging materials and finished goods. ● Collaborate with the inventory planning team to ensure having on-time PFIs. ● Monitor the shipment's arrival, maintain status reports for all shipments and obtain delivery orders from the shipping lines and forwarding companies. ● Obtain entrance permissions and Import licenses before the shipment's arrival. ● Proactively check and follow the status of shipping documents, update the KPI on a weekly basis, and present and address document errors/delays during a weekly regional call with the NME IMPEX team. ● Monitor and track inland transit of shipments from southern ports to Qazvin customs. ● Obtain duty exemption for RMs if applicable. ● Obtain clearance permission for in- customs consignments. ● Ensure on-time customs sampling and follow up with laboratories to receive the test result at the earliest. ● Ensure on-time customs declaration of the shipments, check and validate the goods information in it. ● Raise advance tickets for customs duty charges and monitor on-time transfer to customs to account to avoid delay in the clearance. ● Track and forecast goods delivery timing and share the weekly deliveries with the stakeholders. ● Coordinate all deliveries to Nestlé’s factory WHs and DC. ● Monitor all logistics aspects of import operation with close contact with the factory logistics team, HO logistic officer as well as NME transport team to ensure the on-time arrival of the shipments as well as control demurrage cost. ● Assist the import supervisor with projects as requested. ● Monitor service providers to work according to Nestlé’s strategies and requirements. ● Check and clear GR/IR pending. ● Check and confirm the accuracy of service provider's invoices, release parked/blocked invoices and track the payments. ● Check and update the tariff codes and customs duty of imported goods and counsel stakeholders on those matters, especially in case of any changes. ● Resolve discrepancies, reduce delays, and expedite delivery.
