The role: ● As our Datacenter Operations Manager, your ultimate responsibility is to establish relevant SRE metrics and utilize the ITIL framework to make sure our services will always stand above our SLA standards. ● You will develop and manage a team of highly motivated and talented individuals that specialize in Monitoring, System Administration, Virtualization, Networking, and Security. ● You will work closely with our software team, support team, and our account management team to make sure all our customers’ requirements are met in accordance with the SLA. ● You will plan, direct, and coordinate all activities related to Service Operations. Datacenter Operations Manager resides in our premises in Tehran and is on-call and available for work outside of regular hours to respond to emergency incidents. Duties and tasks: ● Manage and document all service changes. ● Assure the service reliability by planning and performing multiple service tests in the staging environment before applying the changes to the production environment. ● Work closely with the software development team to operationalize new features and fix bugs. ● Escalate critical problems. ● Manage contractors (gathers requirements and creates RFP, oversights projects’ progress, and works with the PMO to create progress reports). Implements the ITIL framework in the following areas: ● Incident Management ● Change Management ●Disaster Recovery (Business Continuity) ● SLA and OLA ● Prioritize and distribute tasks among team members. ● Hold timely meetings to review all open/overdue tickets. ● Manage changes and resources during the change process. ● Create and communicate weekly/monthly reports. ● Hire and train talented team members and define their roles. ● Evaluate team members’ performance and set targets for every individual team member. ● Work with software development manager and product manager in developing a strategy and road map to provide compelling capabilities that help our customers succeed in their business goals. ● Work closely with senior engineers to develop the best technical design and approach for new product/service development and estimates time and budget and break down the project’s scope into milestones and tasks. ● Project management - prioritization, planning of projects and features, Stakeholder management, and tracking of external commitments.

Requirements

● More than 3 years of Data Center experience; more than 2 years of experience in building and leading strong engineering teams; more than 3 years of experience in open-source Linux-based projects; experience in application security. ● Hands-on experience with Linux OS and services (LPIC1 & LPIC2 is a plus). ● Good understanding of routing/switching concept with a focus on Cisco and Mikrotik products (CCNA is a plus). ● Capacity planning knowledge. ● Familiar with monitoring applications (Infrastructure, Database, Application). ● Familiar with SoC software applications. ● Good project management skills. ● Great problem-solving, analytical, and research skills. ● Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
