Job Description
● Monitor servers for hardware and software alert to ensure a high level of data integrity and availability. ● Work on internal and customer-facing support tickets and interact directly with customers. ● Work with other departments to ensure that Operations service levels are being met and exceeded. ● Enforce company security policies and other compliance requirements. ● Perform upgrades to existing systems, such as servers, storage arrays, and equipment racks.
Requirements
● More than 2 years of experience supporting large, enterprise customers in an operations environment. ● Excellent organization and follow-up skills. ● Manage multiple activities and projects. ● Work independently, without direct supervision. ● Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills. ● A+ certification (preferred) or equivalent work experience required. ● Linux + or LPI certification (preferred) or equivalent work experience required. ● Microsoft certification (preferred) or equivalent work experience required. ● VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or equivalent work experience required. ● Understanding of RAID technology, configuration, and troubleshooting. ● Experience in production-level support for Windows and Linux server OS including provisioning, monitoring, backups, updates. ● In-depth knowledge of VMware, and cluster technology. ● Strong experience with storage architecture and administration (SAN, NAS, Fiber Channel, iSCSI, etc.). ● Experienced with operating systems and Storage Area Networks (SAN) and backup solutions. ● Basic knowledge of how to assemble and troubleshoot server hardware.
