Adherence to NRC policies, guidance and procedures . Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need of protection, explore and asses new and better ways to assist . Promote the rights of IDPs/returnees in line with the advocacy strategy Generic responsibilities, which are, function specific; . Contribute with Capacity Building specific technical competence to the development of Partnership & Capacity Building strategy, Micro LogFrame, and Plan of Action . Conduct Capacity Building specific technical assessment and present recommendations . Develop Capacity Building specific technical indicators and mechanism for M&E . Develop Capacity Building specific technical guidance, tools and mechanism . Contribute to organizational learning through the provision specific technical analysis, lessons learned and reports . Develop training modules and provide specific technical learning or/and training for local NGOs . Ensure that key learnings are extracted from operations regarding protection, and incorporate them into program strategy and staff development processes. Specific responsibilities : • Organize training sessions/workshops for the local NGOs • Organize on-the-job mentoring to the local NGO in the implementation of project’ activities • Assess partners’ capacity and identify gaps, ensure that partners are actively attending relevant training sessions and workshops offered by NRC and that relevant knowledge is put in practice • Strategically develop, strengthen and monitor new activities relating to capacity building of local partners in Iran • Liaise and collaborate with relevant local authorities and local NGOs • Contribute to capacity building of NRC project staff and transfer key skills • Conduct regular weekly visits to partners’ offices in all areas, as well as field visits as requested, and provide the coaching and mentoring as relevant

Requirements

Generic professional competencies for this position: • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience within field of expertise • Technical specific knowledge from the humanitarian sector • Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts • Documented technical competences related to the position’s responsibilities • Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities • Fluency in English, both written and verbal Context related skills, knowledge and experience: • Ability to transfer knowledge and understanding of adult learning principles • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills • Ability to write good quality Farsi communications with authorities • Advanced level in all common MS Office applications (Excel and Word) Behavioral competencies : • Strategic thinking • Planning and delivering results • Working with people • Communicating with impact and respect
