About the Job :
Job Summary:

The IT Field SUPPORT Coordinator is responsible for installing, maintaining and providing technical support to corporate users.

Job Responsibilities:

• Inspects personal computer equipment, installs hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers, and disk drives on user's premises.

• Installs and configures specified software packages such as operating systems, business applications and other office tools.

• Provides on-site and remote support to users’ support request in relation with networking, operating system, system hardware diagnoses, software, and operator problems.

• Initiates systems/network trouble shooting and monitoring, Replaces defective components as per need.

• Communicates and coordinates closely with his team members as being part of the Regional IT Field SUPPORT unit.

• Communicates and coordinates closely with the Local IT Field support teams in the different countries.

• Places support calls to network solution providers or other IT support companies.

• Provides updates, status, and completion information to his direct manager, problem request tracking system, and/or users, via voice mail, e-mail, in-person communication.

• Refers major hardware problems to his direct manager for inspection and correction.

• Installs Software and Hardware, performs maintenance and troubleshooting.

• Set-up and administration of LAN.

• To be knowledgeable in switches, ISDN modems.

• Installs Windows2K Server, SQL Server.

• Manages the Brand Communication interface.

• Provides support to our suppliers on problems related to the Brand Communication interface & files.

• Manages his team & Follows up their tasks and projects.

• Provides his daily report for his direct supervisor.

Profile of Ideal Candidate :
Education & Experience:

• A minimum of 3-4 years experience in related field.

• Fluent in written and spoken English, French is a plus.

• Computer Science Degree, or equivalence.


Characteristic & Communication Skills:

• Excellent interpersonal skills, team work oriented, ability to communicate confidently, effectively and diplomatically.
