About the Job :
The successful candidate will work as a Java/J2EE Developer to:
Participate in software development lifecycle including business and technical requirements analysis and software solutions design
Develop, test, and debug J2EE code
Conduct unit tests and provide quality assurance feedback
Investigate and evaluate new and emerging technologies
Develop software specifications and design documentation
Develop test procedures and scripts or code to drive automated software test
Conduct informal and formal software integration testing
COTS software technical evaluations
Modify existing application code
Test and monitor databases to find bottlenecks, errors and make necessary modifications
Answer technical questions |

Profile of Ideal Candidate :
The candidate should have the following general skills:
Understanding the implications of new technologies for both current and future problem solving and decision making
Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement the solutions
Identifying the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions
Analyzing needs and product requirements to create a design
Prepare reports and documentation in order to present them to various stakeholders
Managing ones own time
Teaching others how to do something
Determining the root causes of errors and deciding what to do about them
Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate
The candidate should have experience in following techniques, tools, and technologies:
4+ years of development experience in the areas of Java/J2EE, Servlets, EJB, and Web Services
JDBC, Hibernate, iBATIS
Messaging, multithreading, and concurrency mechanisms
Rational Unified Process and UML
Software architecture and implementation
Design and architectural patterns
The ideal candidate will have a university degree in related field and active experience in some the following areas:
Banking or mission critical applications
WebLogic/JBoss
Spring
AJAX, HTML, XHTML, CSS
XML, XLST
Project Management concepts |
