The RoleThe RoleThis role requires the candidate to provide level one / two operational support for Telecom BSS applications. The candidate will be responsible to perform initial analysis of the assigned issue and resolve the issue with proper root cause analysis. The role also requires interacting with IT and business users to understand operational issues / requirements and provide explanation / resolution as per agreed Service Levels. The role also requires proactive monitoring of applications and platforms to identify bottlenecks and isolate before it converts into an incident. The candidate is expected to perform the following tasks in their capacity: • Problems/Issues/Defects Recording and Dissemination • Diagnostics of Problems/Issues/Defects • Resolution of Problems/Issues/Defects as per SLAs • Ownership of Problems/Issues/Defects Ticket until Resolution • Proactive Application Monitoring • Provide necessary artifacts to supplement the root cause of the issue • Timely execution of operational activities and batch jobs • Correlate issues to application defects and escalate the same to product teams |
RequirementsRequirementsCandidate Profile: Essential skills: • Science or Engineering Graduate • Hands-on experience in Oracle 9i,10G database systems as a user / developer • Good operating knowledge of Unix operating systems. • Strong technical skills in any three skills of following skill sets: A) SQL, PL/SQL, Perl, Shell scripting, Awk , B)Java, JSP, J2EE, Weblogic, Aqualogic, SOAP, HTML • Good Team Player • Good Analytical Skills • Adequate written and verbal English communication skills • Willing to work hard to produce results and a fast learner Preferred Skills: • Strong Telecom Domain Knowledge • Have prior exp in handling telecom operations • Good Documentation skills • Exposure to SLA based operational environment |
