The RoleThe RoleMission: To perform the technical activities required to introduce new roaming partners and to maintain service quality for existing roaming relationships; to participate in new product development activities for the introduction of new Value Added Services in the international roaming arena Task Complexity: • Ensure that all technical requirements are met to introduce roaming with new roaming partners • Ensure that roaming service is maintained with existing roaming partners by ensuring that change requests are implemented, sufficient capacity exists, etc. • Specify, source and deploy systems to support roaming services as per the business requirement. This includes improvements to and capacity planning for existing services e.g. SMS Welcome • Specify, source and deploy O&M tools/systems to ensure optimal functioning of the international roaming services. • Investigate and participate in the introduction of GSM evolutions (e.g. CAMEL, GPRS) with roaming partners subject to the required roaming agreements. • Documentation of methodologies, plans, policies and procedures for international roaming. • Record keeping of technical details on every roaming partner. • Be a subject matter expert on International Roaming issues by studying global trends and networking with other professionals in this field, and by providing documented recommendations to various Irancell departments. |
RequirementsRequirementsEducation: BSc., Eng. (Electronics) or Telecommunication Experience: Minimum 4 years in Telecom environment, International Roaming experience is a must. Experience with IR24, IR32 and IR35 tests. Experience with TADIG testing. Knowledge: Awareness of the telecommunications industry, computer competence ( Office suite), Internal awareness and organisation understanding, GSM standards, GSM Association specifications and test procedures on International roaming, IREG and TADIG testing for roaming, SS7 signalling, Operating the passive monitoring system as a key tool, Roaming testing system (detailed knowledge), SMS welcome system (Detailed knowledge), Irancell's GSM network. |
