Job Description

The ideal candidate requires strong team leadership experience, with a proven background in managing and leading regional field based teams. You would ideally bring some prior experience within the logistics or distribution industry. You will play a critical role in the management, control and direction of either outbound, inbound or reverse logistics area of operations within our distribution centers. The extent of your duties will include: -Develop strategies and set the budget for the department in accordance with company's main strategy -Manage the timely data collection to update delivery, to achieve productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors and thus deliver excellent customer service -Drive continuous process improvement and make our customer experience better than ever -Recommend optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment, or frequency -Supporting the distribution managers to grow the distribution network as required -Work closely with technology teams to align objectives between technology and operations -Maintain health and safety standards within area and promote a positive health and safety culture on site -Lead, motivate and support a large team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment. This will include the setup and implementation of career development plans for all direct reports -Develop managers to train shipping personnel in roles or responsibilities regarding global logistics strategies -Acts as a liaison between customer service and operations (Fulfillment) -Liaising with the distribution teams both for exiting (run) and new (build) sites -Providing data points for the preparation of business reviews and planning reports -Develop integrated schedule and risk management platform and processes
