The RoleThe RoleObjective: Coordinates and carries out the work of receipt, clearance, transportation of material received in Iran include transportation from point of goods departure to designated location Main responsibilities: A. Coordinates the provision of transport services from the point of goods departure to designated location as the instruction assigned by supervisor inside/outside Iran. B. Performs and carries out transportation of goods/materials received and assists smooth customs clearances, coordinates local ship agents selecting suitable routing for the movement of goods/materials. C. To assist supervisor selecting the proper and/or suitable means of transportation according to the type of materials to be transported and improvising trucks to accommodate the type of load. D. Assists and monitors the arrival of shipment at Port and ensures the prompt off-loading and customs clearance to avoid paying unnecessary demurrage. E. Arranges and coordinates local transportation include crew and crane loading/off loading at warehouse or field as required. F. Coordinates with Transport Contractor the carriage to ensure sufficient vehicles are available to transport the material according to transport specifications received from Supervisor. G. Updates daily report on movement of material and equipment from point of goods departure and passes to supervisor for review. H. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with co-workers, subordinates and supervisors. I. Maintains regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality and personal appearance. J. Pursues personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role. K. Manages and keeps all relating files accurately in accordance with company requirement. Reporting to: Logistics Supervisor Other interactions: Weekly working report & weekly group meeting Number required: 1 Desired start date: ASAP Probation: 3 months Working hours: Saturday - Wednesday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Travel requirements : Ahwaz site visits as required |
RequirementsRequirementsUniversity qualifications: Academy diploma/University degree Previous experience: 2 years’ experience in transport logistics, cargo handling Specialist knowledge: Knowledge of computer operation and software applications Other Skills: Ability to work under pressure, good communication skills, flexiblity, team worker Nationality Preference: Iranian Language Skills: Good spoken and written English Work location: Tehran office and Ahwaz field office as required |
