The Role


The Role


Mission:
• To manage the Enterprise Systems Management team & tools, ensuring adequate capacity and application availability.
• To analyze and manage monitoring thresholds and the effect that application usage has on the systems.
• To work closely with the business and ITS to identify and enhance the monitoring solutions to address business needs.

Role Complexity:
• The ITS Services used by MTN Irancell Business units are interfaced to numerous other business units and ITS Vendors. Monitoring and ensuring the stability of the end-to-end availability of Business Critical services entails working across multiple technical domains and various managed service vendors.

Task Complexity:
• Accountable for evaluating the system performance based on the monitoring activities and provides Technical and Management reports the senior management.
• Responsible for system disaster recovery procedure and management.
• Supports application activities that require specialized system monitoring and DR strategy.
• Identify changes needed in the infrastructure configuration to achieve the technology organization goals
• Ensure communication of process and procedure changes to key stakeholders and the Configuration Manager.
• Support identification and collection of metrics and performance reporting processes.
• Monitor the service delivery against SLAs and provide the exception reports to the Service Level Management
• Escalate to and interacting with functional management within other MTN Irancell divisions to ensure operational issues are addressed, SLA not breached, Systems Failures are reported in a timely manner and DR environment is always at launch stage.

Requirements


Requirements


Education:
• Undergraduate education in IT or related fields.
• IT Tertiary qualification or equivalent

Experience:
• 1-2 years experience within IT management and monitoring environment
• 1-2 years experience within an enterprise and a process-oriented environment
• Experience deploying and administering an Enterprise Monitoring solution and Implementing a DR Strategy
